In 2014, I opened Ride Ventoux not simply as a bicycle rental shop, but as a place to share my own vision of road cycling. My goal was to offer visitors something far more meaningful than just a bike for the day: a chance to ride the climbs of Mont Ventoux on a bicycle shaped by my own riding experience, surrounded by a landscape that defines cycling history.

Mont Ventoux is a destination that sits at the heart of every road cyclist’s imagination—an ascent that attracts riders from all levels and from all over the world. Through Ride Ventoux, I had the opportunity to meet those riders, learn from their feedback, and refine my idea of what a great bicycle should be. That ongoing exchange gradually evolved into a synergy: their experience shaped mine, and mine shaped the bicycles I wanted to build.

Over the years, observing the global industry taught me something important. While large brands compete fiercely—pushing technology forward—it often results in models that go far beyond the real needs of everyday cyclists. I began to see a space for bicycles designed around real riding experience, real needs, and accessible value.

That idea became Energi.

Energi is not just a frame or a specification sheet—it is the result of thousands of kilometers ridden here, countless conversations with riders who come to Ventoux, and a constant pursuit of balance: performance, durability, comfort and personalization.

Today, at the foot of Mont Ventoux, in our stores in Sault, France, I design, paint, assemble and deliver Energi road bikes. Available in both titanium and carbon platforms, our bikes are built to be personal: a bicycle that reflects its rider. Whether rented for the iconic summit ride or purchased to take home, an Energi bike embodies the road to Ventoux—simple, elegant, purposeful.

We continue to study, improve and refine every detail. Every year more cyclists climb Ventoux on bikes bearing the Energi logo, and every year we learn something new that makes the next one better.

Energi road bikes are born here, grow here and are shaped here—among the lavender fields, pine forests and winds of Mont Ventoux.
